We Have a Loving, Awesome God

There is so much to learn about our loving and merciful God in heaven. The Holy Bible is the inspired Word of God and all of it is true. It is our life manual to follow all the days of our life. Open it up and find your way. When we read His Word, we become a step closer to knowing about God the Father, Jesus—His only begotten Son, and His Holy Spirit. (We call them the Holy Trinity). They are one in the same. God asks for us to seek Him.

1 John 5:7 (New King James Version)—For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word (Son), and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (New Living Translation)—16) All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. 17) It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.

Deuteronomy 4:29 (NKJV)—But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul.

God is greater than any disaster or circumstance that could ever happen to us. He has conquered death. He has defeated Satan. When we follow Him we will share in His victory.

1 John 4:4 (NLT)—But you have already won your fight with these false prophets because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.

Isaiah 25:8 (Amplified Bible)—He will swallow up death (in victory; He will abolish death forever). And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; and reproach of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken it.

1 Corinthians 15:57 (New International Version)—But thanks be to God! He gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 John 5:4(NIV)—for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.

We can go to God for everything. He’d like us to rely on Him. Trust in the Lord and believe He will help you. He will take your burdens upon Himself.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)—Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares for you watchfully.

Psalm 37:5 (NKJV)—Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Whatever our circumstance is, God will help us through it if we ask Him. No matter how much faith we have, we will still have to face troubles, pressures and trials in our lifetime. While we are in this world there will be sadness and evil all around us. When the trials come into our lives, we are to ask Christ to strengthen us so we may get through it. As challenges come to us, and as we commit to working on it, we show that we believe that God will give us the power to get us through. God will meet all of our needs to complete the task He called us to do.

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)—I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)—And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”

God is omnipresent—which means He is always present, everywhere at the same time. He is with me and with you at the same time, listening to each one of us separately at the same time. He is so amazing. He is always with us.

God is omniscient—which means He is all knowing. He knows everything we do and say and think. He knows our motivation, why we do what we do. He is so awesome. He knows everything that ever was and will be. He knows the beginning and the end at the same time. Just think of a time line. He sees the beginning and the ending all at once. He is so extraordinary.

God is omnipotent—which means He is extra powerful. He is so powerful—He created everything and He can destroy this whole world in an instant if he chose to. He knows His own power and won’t use it on us all at once. He is so merciful, loving, and just.

God is sovereign over everything and everyone. His word is final. He is the Master of the universe, world, and the three heavens. He is the King of all kings, the Alpha and the Omega.

Hebrews 13:8 (NIV)—Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

He loved us when He created the heavens and the earth. He loved us when He sent His Son to die for us. He loves us today–even when he disciplines us. He’ll love us tomorrow and forever no matter what. Nothing will take His love from us.

Romans 8:28-39 (NLT)—38) And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from His love. Death can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of hell can’t keep God’s love away. 39) Whether we are high above the sky or in the deepest ocean will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When believers say “fear the Lord” or “fear of the Lord” or “fear God,” we don’t mean be afraid of Him. We mean—to have reverence for Him, be in awe of Him, be in wonder of, have high esteem for, have deep respect, or honor humbly.

We, born-again children, fear the Lord. Not everyone is a child of God. His children are the Christian believers in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. We have a personal relationship with Jesus. We are confident of knowing where we will go when we die when we fear the Lord. Believers have asked Jesus into their hearts and know Him as our personal savior. We fear God because He sent Jesus to us so He could save us from eternal death. He died on the old rugged cross, in our place, so we would not be separated from God any longer. Being separated from God means we would not be able to live with Him in His kingdom after our death. We are dead in our sins before we accept Christ in our life.

Unbelievers, the unsaved, don’t usually know what “the fear of the Lord” means. I know I did not before I was saved. Fear usually means to be afraid. Unbelievers ought to be fearful because they will not go to heaven—unless they are saved. I’m just saying it so that unbelievers are made aware that accepting Jesus in their lives is the only way God will accept them.

Here are some Scriptures to show that the “fear of the Lord” is good:

Psalm 25:14 (NKJV)—The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.

Psalm 33:8 (NKJV)—Let all the earth fear the Lord; let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

Psalm 33:18 (NKJV)—Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear Him, on those who hope in His mercy.

Proverbs 2:5 (NKJV)—Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.

I mentioned earlier that not everyone is a child of God automatically. We are not His until we are saved. This is when you ask Jesus sincerely into your heart because you believe in Him and what He did for you. This is the spiritual rebirth. We originally are born in this life as a sinner separated from God. When we become an age of accountability—which is when we learn about Him and understand what sin is. The ruler of the world is Satan, the father of lies.

John 8:23-24 (NKJV)—23) And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. I am not of this world. 24) Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He; you will die in your sins.”

1 John 5:19 (NKJV)—We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.

Until we are saved, we are not God’s children. We must individually make this decision on our own to trust Jesus Christ for our eternal life. You do this by asking Jesus to come into your heart because you believe in Him and understand why He died for your sins in your place; and you are ready to accept Him as your personal savior and live under God’s grace. Grace is God’s free gift to us when we are born-again spiritually. We cannot achieve grace on our own merit.

John 1:12-13 (NKJV)—12) But as many as received him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: 13) who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Then God adopts us and makes us part of His family. We become a sister and brother to Jesus and we also become brothers and sisters-in-Christ to each other who are born-again—those saved from eternity with Satan in the lake of fire.

Please read Romans 8:12-17. This explains how we are children of God and joint heirs with Christ.

Salvation comes through believing in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus is God’s beloved gift to us. Jesus is God in the flesh. God could not come to us as He is. That is why He chose to send us Himself through a real person, His Son, Jesus. He had to actually be born in human form to live among the people of this world so we could meet God through Jesus. Jesus only did and said what was spoken to Him by God, His Father. (Read John 6:28-65 to understand this more.)

John 3:16-17 (NKJV)—16) for God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17) For God did not send His Son into the world through Him might be saved.

Jesus died for us. He took all the sins of the world upon Himself. Jesus never sinned a day in His life, but became a sinner in our place. We should have been the ones who were crucified because of our sinful nature. But Jesus loved us so much and knew we could not have been forgiven on our own power. He died for us. He had a choice and He went through with it because it was His Father’s will and Jesus always obeyed Him. He suffered for us. He went through persecution and torture in our place. He died and was buried. Thanks be to God—He rose again on the third day. After a short time, He ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of His Father. This is where He is alive today.

Mark 16:19 (Amplified)—So then the Lord Jesus, after He had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and he sat down at the right hand of God.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4 (Amplified)—3) For I passed on to you first of all what I also had received, that Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for our sins in accordance with (what) the Scriptures (foretold), 4) that He was buried, that He arose on the third day as the Scriptures foretold.

Without Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice of dying on the cross for our sins, we would have had a hopeless life. There would be no hope for us because we could not save ourselves. We could never be good enough on our own, or work our way up to please God. Jesus took all our sins upon Him and died in our place, so that we would not be separated from God for eternity. His death reconciled us with His father. If we had not been reunited with God, we never would be allowed into heaven after our inevitable death.

1 John 4:10 (NKJV)—In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be propitiation for our sins.

To die in our sin would have been a death sentence in the lake of fire. We will not go there when we are spiritually born-again (the term means being saved from our sinful life that we were originally born with).

Before Jesus died He said He would be leaving us with a Helper. He was speaking of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comes into our heart when we accept Jesus.

John 14:16-17 (NLT)—16) And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Counselor, who will never leave you. 17) He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for Him and doesn’t recognize him. But you do, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.

Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. He is our comforter, teacher, and wonderful counselor. He is our conscience—letting us know when we sin so that we may confess and repent. Confess our sins, ask for forgiveness and repent by changing our ways.

1 Corinthians 6:19 (Amplified)—Do you know that your body is the temple (the very sanctuary) of the Holy Spirit who lives within you, whom you have received (as a gift) from God? You are not your own.

Romans 8:26-27 (NLT)—And the Holy Spirit help us in our distress. For we don’t even know what we should pray for, nor how we should pray. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groaning that cannot be expressed in words. 27) And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.

Did you know that being saved is the only way to get to heaven? Unbelievers, people of the world, say there are many ways to get to heaven. They will even mention a few different ways. But Jesus says in John 14:6 –“I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

The worldly religions and other doctrines say there are other ways. Some religions say that people come back to live many lives. The Bible does not say this so I cannot believe that is true. There is no such thing as reincarnation; also, spirits coming back to live among us is another worldly view. It is so confusing to hear these different versions of worldly religions. Satan is the inventor of confusion. God does not lead us into confusion.

God did give us free will to choose what we want to believe, that is why He allows these other religions to exist. He also gives us the truth that sets us free. We have the choice to choose Him and His Word as that truth or with the worldly views that Satan has introduced by people who are not of God. I know there are going to be a lot of people mad at me; but God wants everyone to know the truth.

Acts 4:12 (Amplified)—And there is salvation in and through no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by and in which we must be saved.

We cannot work our way into heaven—we could never do enough on our own merit or be good enough in the holy and perfect eyes of God without being saved. Only Jesus can intercede for us to ask His Father for us to be forgiven because of His Sacrifice for us.

Ephesians 2:8 (Amplified)—For it is by free grace (God’s unmerited favor) that you are saved (delivered from judgment and made partakers of Christ’s salvation) through (your) faith. And this (salvation) is not of yourselves (of your own doing, it came not through your own striving) but it is the gift of God.

Romans 8:34 (Amplified)—Who is there to condemn (us)? Will Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who died, or rather, Who was raised from the dead, Who is at the right hand of God actually pleading as He intercedes for us?

Hebrews 7:25 (Amplified)—Therefore He is able also to save to the utmost (completely, perfectly, finally and for all time and eternity) those who came to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.

Do you believe that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and He died on the cross for your sins? Do you believe that He was crucified, buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures?

I do believe all of the above. Having learned how much Jesus did for me made me want to ask him in my heart. I asked Him to be my Personal Savior and become the Lord of my life. I want to live in heaven with Him when I die, and being saved will guarantee me a room in one of His mansions that He is preparing for me.

Knowing that the Holy Spirit would not be in my life unless I was saved also persuaded me to accept Him. I would not have made it this far in life if it had not been for Him. He totally rearranged my life and helped me purge all the old habits of my past. I am a new creature in Christ now and am so thankful every day for His help to create a new heart in me. His desires have become my desires. The fruit of the Spirit is working within me to bring forth joy (gladness), faith, love, patience (even temper, forbearance), peace, self-control (self-restraint, continence), kindness, gentleness (meekness, humility), and mercy (goodness, benevolence, compassion) in my life.

Wanting to be a child of God was the big deal maker toward my decision. I love my heavenly Father. He takes care of me. (He had given me a wonderful earthly Father for my childhood and young adult life that I miss terribly, but I know I will see him again). I love that God is in control of my life today.

When you have a new Christian life you will understand things so much clearer. There will still be hard times, but when you have Father God to help you through anything and everything you will be glad you chose His way. You will also have the Holy Spirit’s soft inner voice leading you, when you are listening. If you pray and meditate on His Word things will be revealed to you that you never knew before. I hope you have the desire to seek the one and only true Almighty God. He would love it.

This is the Great Commission

Matthew 28:19-20(NLT)—19) Therefore go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20) Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

The Most Important Commandment:

Matthew 22:36-40 (NLT) -36) “Teacher, which is the most important commandment in the Law of Moses?” 37) Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. 38) This is the first and greatest commandment. 39) A second is equally important; ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40) All other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

The Covenant Made in Eden

Genesis 3:14-15 (NIV) 14) So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

“Cursed are you above all the livestock
and all the wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.
15) And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers.
He will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

The Covenant Made to Noah

Genesis 9:11-16 (NIV)—11) “I establish my covenant with you. Never again will all life be cut off by the water of a flood never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.” 12) And God said, “This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come: 13) I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. 14) Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds. 15) I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. 16) Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures every kind on the earth.”

Here are some Gold Nugget Treasures from God’s Word to Meditate on:

Philippians 4:13 (NKJV) I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Hebrews 13:2 (NKJV) Do not forget to entertain strangers for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels.

John 15:13 (NKJV) Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

Proverbs 19:21 (New Century Version) People can make all kinds of plans, but only the Lord’s plan will happen.

Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV) Let us hold firmly to the hope we have confessed, because we can trust God to do what He promised.

There is infinitely so much more to share about our loving and awesome God. I would love to keep going on and on, but I better leave some mystery for you to discover. He will reveal to you more and more every day. God bless you!

Finding Unconditional Love

Do you think it is possible to find unconditional love?

It seems as if it would be impossible

In this world as it exists today.

Do you imagine it as just a dream–

Something unattainable for yourself?

To find unconditional love

Is like searching for a thrown out glove—

It is nowhere to be found.

We need to be loved, cannot anyone see?

God can—His unconditional love is waiting for us.

God is unconditional love.

His love is absolute,

And all He asks of us is to believe.

Believe and accept His Son, Jesus.

Only God knows us as we are;

And He still loves us.

He loves us enough to change us from the inside out

So that we may be more like Jesus—

Loving, kind, compassionate, faithful,

Gentle, forgiving, and everything good!

God is the only one we can truly trust

And totally depend on with all our hearts

because we know His love is unconditional.

So you see-we can find unconditional love.

Romans 8:38-39 says: “For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities nor powers, not things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 5:8 says: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

1 John 4:18-19 (Common English Bible) –There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear expects punishment. The person who is afraid has not been made perfect in love. We love because God first loved us.

[Read all of 1 John 4:7-4:21—these are just a few of the verses about God’s unconditional love that you will find in His Word—the Holy Bible.]

Enjoy your journey with the love of Christ, Amen!

Revelation 3:20 (New Living Translation)—“Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends.

God wants the best for everyone because He created every one of us for His pleasure. He wants us to eventually live eternally with Him. When we become a believer in Christ, we are guaranteed that we will go to heaven. Heaven is our ultimate home, earth is temporal.

Believe me, there is the choice of heaven and hell in everyone’s future. God does not want us to perish in hell. He gave all of us ‘free will’. The choices every individual makes in their lifetime determines where they will go eternally. This is why Christians talk about the hope we have in Christ Jesus and how He saved us. For God’s sake, we do not want you to be left behind.

Take this as a warning–everyone who does not accept Christ as their personal savior will face that ultimate Judgment Day. All Christians who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life will receive their rewards.

The disasters and troubles we go through in this day and age are not the worst that will happen on this earth. When God’s wrath is released after the “Rapture”, during a time that will be called “The Great Tribulation” for the people left behind, will be the worst time there had ever been on this earth up to this period. When you read the book of “Revelation” in the Holy Bible, it will explain what will happen during this “Tribulation” period. You need to be a Christian to understand God’s Word because you will have the Holy Spirit teaching you, and you will have a ‘spiritual understanding.’ God blinds the hard-hearted unbelievers. We only receive the gift of the Holy Spirit when we are born-again.

This prophetic time of “Tribulation” will last for seven years during which God seeks, by taking away from man every other hope, to draw him to Himself. Millions will believe in the message of 144,000 Jewish evangelists who will have come to say that Jesus was their Messiah. These seven years in which they seek to turn men’s hearts to God are those seven years that the nation was cut short when they crucified their Messiah. They have the opportunity at that time to more than make up for failing to be God’s witnesses during their history. Psalm 2:11-12 is the solemn advice that David prophetically gives to those who will be living on the earth during the terrifying seven years of “Tribulation” just prior to Messiah’s return to earth to set up His Kingdom. In the rest of Psalm 2, David speaks of this time when God’s Son will come to earth and find that the “nations are in an uproar and trying to cast off all influence of God.”

Matthew 24:21-23 (New Living Translation)—For that will be a time of greater horror than anything the world has ever seen or will ever see again. In fact, unless that time of calamity is shortened, the entire human race will be destroyed. But it will be shortened for the sake of God’s chosen ones.

The unsaved people of this world who do not believe this prophetic Tribulation Period is true will be sorry they did not listen when they had the chance. We do not know when, but it will happen whenever God chooses to do so. This may be called a doom and gloom theory by the worldly unbelievers’, but it is all true. The “Rapture” is the Christian’s blessed hope because we know that Jesus will come and Rapture His church—all the believers (dead and alive) will be gathered and raised up to meet Him in the air.

A word to the unbelievers of the world, it may sound like nonsense to you now, but when you are left behind, you won’t be laughing. (Read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-5:11).

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (New Living Translation)—For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the trumpet call of God.

First, all the Christians who have died will raise from their graves. Then, together with them, we, the true and faithful Christians who are still alive, will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and remain with Him forever. All the believing, true Christians are considered as ‘His church’. Jesus is the head of the Christian church. I am looking forward for this prophetic event to happen!

Second, the anti-christ will sign a 7 year treaty of peace; then the “Seven years of the Tribulation period” will begin. The last three and a half years will be known as the Great Tribulation period.

Third, It will be too late when you are not raptured with the believers of Jesus Christ because the one and only opportunity is gone–you are one of the people left behind. God will have given you plenty of chances, before this wicked time of “Tribulation”, to receive Jesus as your Personal Savior and Lord of your life.

The time is NOW; please do not put it off any longer. If you do not take heed, you are the one who will put yourself in those perilous seven years. You cannot blame God when you end up in this “Tribulation period”on earth. He never wanted you to perish. He will have no choice but to release you when you have denied Him throughout your life. The birth pangs have already started, it is not too far-fetched to think the time is near. No one knows how long it will be before the ‘Rapture’. In the name of our Lord, Christ Jesus, I pray for all the unbelieving and non-trusting souls.

Matthew 24:6-8 (Amplified Bible)–
6) And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not frightened or troubled, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.
7) For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in place after place;
8) All this is but the beginning [the early pains] of the birth pangs [of the intolerable anguish].

The following Scripture is for the Faithful and Unfaithful Servants of God:
Matthew 24:45-51 (Common English Bible)–
Who then are the faithful and wise servants whom their master puts in charge of giving food at the right time to those who live in his house? Happy are those servants whom the master finds fulfilling their responsibilities when he comes. I assure you that he will put them in charge of all his possessions. But suppose those bad servants should say to themselves, My master won’t come until later. And suppose they began to beat their fellow servants and to eat and drink with the drunks? The master of those servants will come on a day when they are not expecting him, at a time they couldn’t predict. He will cut them in pieces and put them in a place with the hypocrites. People there will be weeping and grinding their teeth.

Please take heed! Amen

(My testimony from 1988–in Poem form)

The day my husband decided to leave me
My world (as I knew it) ceased to be
I dreaded to wake up every day
Because there was nothing more to say.

All I saw was DARKNESS.

Cloudy skies, no sunlight was going to shine
My only incentive on life was to resign
Suicide was very tempting at the time
But that idea wasn’t totally mine.

All I saw was DARKNESS.

My flooding memories only made me cry
The grief and guilt only made me want to die
I didn’t give him a reason to end our love affair
The horrendous pain and loneliness was too much to bear.

All I saw was DARKNESS.

When our darling infant son accidentally died
You said I was unworthy of love and I am damaged goods
You said our marriage wasn’t worth fighting for
The only reason you married me had died.

All I saw was DARKNESS.

I woke up in a deep, unforgotten, dilapidated,
seeping-wet black-holed well.
I had to be rehabilitated
because I let your rejection put me in my own prison cell.

All I saw was DARKNESS.

Then one miraculous day the sunlight appeared.
I saw Christ Jesus’ light everywhere.
His majesty became all aglow
as I felt His unconditional love flow.

Back in that deep, dark well
Where I was about to drown
Jesus dropped His strong saving, steadfast rope down.
He became my personal savior and saved me from hell.

Lord, thank you for loving me.
Being born-again helped me see
That my life was worth living now
Thank you, Jesus, for showing me how.

Yesterday is gone
(with all its sorrows and heartaches)
Tomorrow is not here yet
So I won’t think about it
But Today there is

Here are some great verses on darkness:

Micah 7:8–“When I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”

John 12:46–“I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on Me should not abide in darkness.

John 12:35-36 (Amplified Bible)–
35)So Jesus said to them, You will have the Light only a little while longer. Walk while you have the Light [keep on living by it], so that darkness may not overtake and overcome you. He who walks about in the dark does not know where he goes [he is drifting.]
36) While you have the Light, believe in the Light [have faith in it, hold to it, rely on it], that you may become sons of the Light and be filled with Light. Jesus said these things, and then He went away and hid Himself from them [was lost to their view].

Psalm 112:4 (Amplified Bible)–Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate, and just [who are in right standing with God].

2 Corinthians 4:6 (Amplified Bible)–For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed in the face of Jesus Christ (the Messiah).

“Shine His Light”

John 8:12 (Amplified Bible)–Once more Jesus addressed the crowd. He said, “I am the Light of the world. He who follows Me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the Light which is Life.”

Matthew 5:16–“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Hoping to be more like You
Knowing You would like me to
With You it is possible
Because You do the impossible

If only I could
Like I know I should
Show Your light
With all my might

You are my motivation
I’d have no realization
If it wasn’t for You–
I didn’t always know what to do

I learned so much from you–The more I read your Word
I know You are my shepherd who safely leads His herd
You wrote “The truth will set you free”
That is exactly what you did for me!

Would you like to know how
I am able to really show love now
By putting Christ first in my life
Helps me have less stress and strife.

God, You have made me as free as a bird who flies above
By learning and knowing all about your unconditional love
I hope everyone will see
Your light shining through me

It is a pleasure for me to share Your story
And a privilege to always give You the Glory
Because the joy You bring me is always overflowing
Every time I see what You bring to others–their hope and joy is always growing.

Jesus, I love You and Your light.
Help me always to do what is right.
May Your light shine through me
So it is only You that others will see!

Luke 18:27–But He said, “What is impossible with men is possible with God.”

John 15:11 (Amplified Bible)–I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.

Praise God!

Belief in Jesus’ existence
Is when your “Hope” comes alive.

When you learn to fully trust in the Lord,
You will have “Hope.”

You’ll know it’s possible to have a better life
By reading God’s Word–which fills you with “Hope.”

Looking forward to a life with Christ
Gives you “Hope” for a better future.

You’ll be assured how to cope
When you have “Hope” in your life.

Having confidence in the love of God
Is when your “Hope” will overflow.

Whenever you ask for God’s help,
You will have “Hope” by knowing you’ll get an answer.

You will know your salvation is true
When your “Hope” comes from your faith.

Others will be encouraged
When you share where your “Hope” comes from.

Telling the Gospel to unbelievers
Is when they will have “Hope,” too.

Romans 15:4 (New Living Translation)–Such things were written in the Scriptures long ago to teach us. They give us hope and encouragement as we wait patiently for God’s promises.

Amen for having “Hope!”

Will You Be Chosen?

Matthew 22:14 (New King James Version)–Jesus said, “For many are called but few are chosen.”

Everyone is invited to follow Jesus,
But only a few accept Him into their hearts and live for Him.
It is an individual choice–no one else can save them.

Only a few are chosen because
a lot of people do not believe Jesus is the only begotten Son of God,
and they have not surrendered their selfish lives and follow His life.

What is stopping you from believing in God’s Son?
What is holding you back from accepting Jesus into your heart?
Why don’t you want to follow Him?

Do you think you won’t have any fun if you become a Christian?
Being a Christian does not stop you from living. It is the beginning of your eternal life.
God’s Word teaches us how to live abundantly and shows us how to treat others.

Do you think there are too many rules?
Besides believing in Him and loving God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength,
all He commands of us is to love our neighbors as ourselves. (Matthew 22:37-40)

It is harder to have a good life without Jesus.
God asks you to believe in and accept Jesus,
His only begotten Son, as your personal savior, and apply His Word in your life.

When you become a Christian–a believer in Christ, you will have a relationship with Jesus.
You will be reconciled with God, receive the Holy Spirit, and become a child of God.
Then you will be chosen to have eternal life with Him.

If you do not choose to have Jesus in your life,
then God will have no choice but to let you go.
Yes, there is a hell. God doesn’t send you there, you do.

Isaiah 14:9 (New King James Version)–Hell from beneath is excited about you, to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the dead for you,…

Isaiah 14:9-11 (Common English Bible)–The underworld beneath becomes restless to great your arrival. It awakens the ghosts, all the leaders of the earth; it makes the kings of the nations rise from their thrones. All of them speak and say to you: “Even you’ve become weak like we are! You are the same as us!” Your majesty has been brought down to the underworld, along with the sound of your harps. Under you is a bed of maggots, and worms are your blanket.

Revelation 21:1-4 (Common English Bible)–Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud voice from the throne say, “Look! God’s dwelling is here with humankind. He will dwell with them, and they will be his peoples. God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more. There will be no mourning, crying, or pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

Revelation 21:6-8 (Common English Bible)–Then He said to me, “All is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will freely give water from the life-giving spring. Those who emerge victorious will inherit these things. I will be their God, and they will be my sons and daughters. But for the cowardly, the faithless, the vile, the murderers, those who commit sexual immorality, those who use drugs and cast spells, the idolaters and all liars–their share will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur. This is the second death.”

Give Him All Your Cares

Picture the cross in your mind.

Jesus died on that cross because of His love for you.

Imagine yourself walking up to
the foot of that cross.

Set your problems down at the foot of that cross.
Ask Jesus to take your worries and help your situation.
Praying is just talking to Him.
Listen. See if He speaks quietly to you in your conscience.
If you feel a peace come over you then you are ready to leave.

Watch yourself walk away.
Do not turn around.
Do not go back and reclaim your burden.

Because He cares for you so much,
He will take your burdens upon Himself,
and help you with your fears and anxieties.

Trust in the Lord.
Believe that He will help you.
Nothing is too big for Him to handle.
He is waiting for you to come to Him.

1 Peter 5:7 (Amplified Bible)–Casting the whole of your care (all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all) on Him, for he cares for you affectionately and cares for you watchfully.

Psalm 55:22 (New King James Version)–Cast your burned on the Lord, and He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved (shaken).

Psalm 37:24–Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down. For the Lord upholds him with His hand.

Psalm 37:5–Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass.

Matthew 11:28–“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

How Long Do We Have Left?

We do not know how much time
we have left on this earth.
It is our choice
if we go to heaven or not.
It’s up to us to accept Jesus
into our hearts before we die.
He will be a part of our life
as long as we accept Him with all of our heart,
invite Him into our ordinary, everyday lives,
and believe He is who He says He is.
We will be saved, and positive of our destiny.
Our chance is now;
but if we put it off
there may not be another opportunity to choose.

We do not know how much longer
we have left to live.
We may not want to think about death;
but it is important to prepare ourselves.
It is inevitable that we all will die one day.
It is more imminent today than it was thirteen years ago;
terrorism is out of hand, this is the season to choose
where we will go when we die.
If we want to be sure we will be going to heaven;
it is time to make a decision.
It is time to be humbled and admit that we are sinners.
The alternative, hell, is not a place to live.
It will be torture, suffering, no love, no kindness, no choices.
The rapture is imminent–it is the next stage in prophecy.
The time to choose where our eternal life will be spent is now.

If you do not believe in Jesus and do not accept Him into your life,
you will not be able to live in eternity with Him,
in a place where there is no more sin or sadness.
Instead, there really is a place of torment for unbelievers.
No, God does not want anyone to perish,
but He will have no choice but to let you go
if you do not choose Jesus to be your personal savior.
Jesus’ sacrifice for us was the only way we were able to
be reconciled to God. We are forgiven for our sins only when
we accept Jesus in our hearts and we live for Him.
He just asks us to follow Him and stay righteous
with the help of God’s Word to guide us.
In return, we will have God’s protection and His will
shall be done, not our own. He knows best. Trust Him.

Matthew 18:3-4 (Common English Bible)–“I assure you that if you don’t turn your lives around and become like this little child, you will definitely not enter the kingdom of heaven. Those who humble themselves like this child will be the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Please read John 3:1-21. This portion of scripture will show you why you should be “born-again” (saved).
I pray that you make your decision soon. The time is near.

One Way

People say there are many ways to get to heaven. They’ll even mention a few ways. But Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Whom would you rather believe? The people of this world who are searching for an answer, or Jesus who is the answer? Whom can you trust?

There is only one way to get to His heavenly Father, God. There are not many ways like people may think. We cannot work our way into heaven, no matter how much we do in this world, it could never be enough. No matter how good a person may be, we cannot become good enough on our own merit to enter the kingdom of God. Everyone sins, no matter how much we try there will always be something we did that was considered as a sin to God. Sin is rebellion against God. The wages of sin is death. That is why we needed a Savior. Jesus saved us by dying for us so that we may live.

Only by the way of the cross may we be saved. It is by grace that we may be saved and forgiven. If Jesus did not die in our place to save us from eternal fire, we would not make it to heaven on our own. Thank God for His only begotten Son, Jesus.

Jesus is the only one who can save us. We have the choice to believe in Him, accept Him in our lives, and follow Him. With Him we can be reconciled to God. Without Him we would be separated from God for eternity because of our sinful nature that we are born with. We would never get to heaven by any other means.

This may sound narrow minded (to say that there is only one way to heaven) but “narrow is the gate which leads to life.” Being broad minded leads us into different directions and confusion (such as cults, or different doctrines than what the Holy Bible teaches.) It will only lead us into destruction. We have freedom of choice, so we get to choose which way we go.

There is only one way to our Father God’s paradise and that is through the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who died for us on the cross. He is the ultimate sacrifice who took away the sins of the world. He was sinless but chose to take all of our sin upon Himself to save us. That is how much He loved us.

John 3:16-17 tells it all, 16) “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17) For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world but to save the world through Him.”

People, who do not believe in the name of the Lord, are condemned already. That is why it is best to know that there is only one way to God. That is through God’s Son, Jesus.

Accept Him as your Personal Savior now. Just ask Him into your heart, right now. He is waiting for you. Just humble yourself in front of God and tell Him you know that you are a sinner and want Jesus to redeem you. He will you know! He already died for you. Jesus is just waiting for you to believe and accept Him in your heart and follow Him. If you do-please leave me a comment and I will get back to you.
